This Labor Day Weekend, we had the privilege of hosting the Arizona Youth Cricket Club Rising Stars in a 3 match U17 series on our brand new CSP-7 turf wicket. We enjoyed playing with them and look forward to many more series with this club.
Game 1 – We batted first in the first match and put 238/9 on the board in 40 overs. Ayush P. scored 78 off of 49, Joel M. scored 31 off of 34, and Vardaan S. scored 26 not out off of 35. We then managed to bowl out Arizona for 90/10. Joel took a brilliant 4-1-11-5 wicket haul, Vardaan S. took 5-1-10-2, and Santosh took 3-0-8-2. Ayush and Joel shared a Man of the Match.
Game 2 – We bowled first in this 30 over match, bowling and fielding excellently to get Arizona all out for 88. Siddharth M. took 7 wicketkeeping dismissals. We chased it down in 21 overs, losing 5 wickets. Santosh N. scored 33 off of 46 and was Man of the Match.
Game 3 – We batted first in the last match. The opening partnership gave a great start with 157 runs, and we finished with 214/3 in 25 overs. Joel M. scored a magnificent 102 off of just 64 balls. Siddharth M. scored 59 off of 57. Arizona batted well, but fell short, scoring 164/8 in 25 overs. Santosh N. took 4-0-18-3. Joel was Man of the Match.
